my favorite book,

"We become attached to what's familiar and sometimes we hold on to things that are safe and predictable even if they're bad for us. A lot of the pain we experience is actually fear. Fear of things being different than how you liked them, fear of never finding another love, fear of being alone, fear of having to fill your time different. We're afraid of the unknown."

This book has helped me a lot, to assure me that everything is alright, that things will be okay and because of this book, I've learned so much and is able to help other people who have gone or is going through the same situation I was. I'm inspired and most of all impressed by how well this book is written, sometimes I read it and feel like I am reading my own story and then realizing, I'm not the only person on Earth who has dealt or felt this way. It's a great feeling when you know you're not alone and it's an even better feeling when you know that in the end, you just come out stronger than ever and you have never felt so good about yourself.

"I don't know when you'll allow yourself to like someone jenn if you don't believe what they say. Sometimes the things I say I do mean them."

I admit, I can be tough in most cases just because I don't want to be naive and believe the things guys say to make me interested in them. You know those guys who sweet talk, flirt, say cliche things to win your heart? Well it's called a cliche for a reason, because it's all cliche. I heard it all before, I hear it once, I'll hear it again. I know not all guys make it into a game and some do mean the things they say and have the best intentions, I guess I'm just tired of the same ole thing. I'm not saying I want to be single forever and yes, it would be nice to be with someone but if it happens then it happens. I'm not planning on waking up tomorrow and meeting the love of my life (ha, that would be pretty cool though) but on the real, I just want guys to be real with me. I'm not those kind of girls you have to make up a million of lines for and think it's so sweet that I get all giddy and "crap" for, just be yourself and be real. I understand guys sweet talk so you can like them at first but if you're not going to continue being who you are from the beginning then don't be someone else you're not from the start. Sometimes I do get carried away with what people say, I guess it's the lack of being admired from time to time or being treated significantly that when someone say something that totally put butterflies in my stomach, I fall for them right away. But I try to not be like that anymore because eventually, it'll all become a routine and I don't want to be a rule, I want to be the exception.

Pick up the pieces and just keep moving forward from there. Everything will be okay, I just know it.
